Meet Our Volunteer Coordinator

Othella Hill-Jordan

Othella Hill-Jordan, a Hayward resident for the past 20 years, grew up in San Diego, California where she received her education and started her career in Public Safety Communications. After moving to Bay Area in June of 1990 she continued her career in Public Safety Communications and retired from the Palo Alto Police Department with a combined 35 years of service as Chief Public Safety Dispatcher.

Since retirement she has volunteered with Reality Mentor Inc., a mentoring group for middle school and high school students, where she gladly gives her time and services as a Mentoring coordinator. She also volunteers with the Hayward South-Alameda County Branch of the NAACP, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Network News newsletter.

She is an active member of the Palma Ceia Baptist Church where she teaches an adult women’s Sunday school class. She enjoys writing and has written several children’s books, her goal is to self-publish her books in the near future.
